Machong Town, Dongguan City

The renovated plot is located on the south side of Maongou Town in Dongguan City, just 2 kilometers away from the Huayang Lake National Wetland Park. It is close to the Dongjiang River tributary in the north. The geographical conditions are excellent and it has great development potential. The plot is long and narrow. The traditional layout is prone to cause mutual obstruction of views between buildings. Adopting a staggered layout, arranging along the river side, and having the buildings facing in different directions ensures that there is no obstruction of views between the buildings and maximizes the water view. The planning and design fully consider the sunlight for the supporting dormitories, ensuring that more than half of the rooms meet the requirement of no less than 1 hour of sunlight on the winter solstice. Adequate sunlight is beneficial to the health and hygiene of the residents. Most of the facade area adopts a modern and simple style. It uses white small tiles with a technological feel and a small part of dark gray tiles, as well as low-e double-layer glass that can effectively reduce radiation and is of good practicality.
