The project is an expansion project. The renovation and reuse of the old factory building, the handling of the interface between the old and new parts, and the creation of green spaces are the design focuses. According to the process requirements, the layout of the new building adopts a vertical connection method to connect with the old factory building. The external steel plate reinforcement technology enhances the safety of the original structure of the old factory building, and the seamless connection technology makes the integrity of the new and old factories stronger. The secondary coating and painting are used to prevent rust on the rusty iron components. The renovation of the indoor walls and the replacement of glass all use environmentally friendly and energy-saving materials. In the roof drainage connection, we adopt a segmented drainage method combined with rainwater collection pipes. This not only solves the problem of the interface between the new and old but also enables the collected rainwater to be recycled. The design of the old and new connection part of the factory building includes a central garden, which solves the problem of poor lighting and ventilation in large spaces, and at the same time enriches the spatial hierarchy and enhances the enthusiasm of the workshop research and office staff for work and life. In the unused areas of the site, green nodes are set up to create an ecological, environmentally friendly, and technologically efficient factory image.
